Market-leading networking, wireless communications products showcased at AfricaCom
AfricaCom, Africa’s largest annual communications congress and exhibition (15-17 November at the CTICC), has been selected by specialist distributor Duxbury Networking to showcase a broad range of networking and wireless communications offerings.
The company is spotlighting several newly-released products from a number of key international vendors including Netgear, Extreme Networks, Snom, Patton Electronics, Cambium, Mimosa Networks, Lantech, Sofos, Younceta and others.
Duxbury offers dealers, resellers and end-users in Africa a comprehensive range of the latest networking, wireless communication and security solutions targeted at a wide spectrum of important market segments – from wireless internet service providers (WISPs) to corporate end-users, small business and home users.
“This year our emphasis at AfricaCom will be on wireless communication solutions,” says Andy Robb, chief technology officer at Duxbury Networking. “We’ll be demonstrating a range of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint product offerings together with a plethora of voice products – including voice gateway products – while spotlighting a line-up of analogue-to-digital SIP- and VoIP-based technologies.”
Robb sees the evolution of cloud-based services, together with new-generation wireless and cellular communication technologies, playing increasing roles in the home office and in small to medium enterprises of the future.
He adds that wireless internet connectivity – together with proliferating DSL coverage and fibre penetration – is allowing home and office users to take advantage of a range of cloud-based offerings. These include collaboration and productivity suites, accounting, backup and archiving solutions as well as instant messaging and other ground-breaking services.
